Hello there! My name is Veta Wade;  I'm a strategic thinker interested in co-designing Community-based Ocean Science projects in the Caribbean. My approach focuses on innovative solutions to small-scale fisheries and marine protected areas, as well as tourism.  The main problem  in marine management that I focus on  is ‘ stakeholder buy-in.’ I'm keen to support the development of high-integrity nature-people-positive businesses in the region.  You can find my CV here.

I do event talks and public speaking on topics that include diversity and equity, ocean justice, small-scale fisheries, self-care and resilience, and our blue economy. My work as an events speaker has taken me to academic institutions, global youth advocacy networks, local community groups, and more. It's also one of the ways I afford to be a single mom working in this field.
