blue justice
blue economy
I work with mission-driven innovators, NGO's, and companies to build new bridges with communities that have not yet been invited into the blue innovation sector, — I have a passion for supporting a digital technologies that have an 'Ecosystem approach to Fisheries.'  My work aims to provide practical solutions to the question, ' How do we create a more just blue economy?'

A Framework for the Equitable Caribbean Blue Economy

Adding value from the grassroots

The ocean is for everyone. Yet traditionally, blue innovation is done by those with formal degrees and access to resources.  To fully explore the potential of the  Blue economy and build more equitable businesses, we need to work outside of traditional academic structures and engage a more diverse group of individuals.

My transitional 20 years career from a conveyancer, to eco-fashion freelancer for Bottletop, owner of sustainable seafood restaurant, and kids ocean club -Fish 'N Fins Inc.,  blue economy consultant, ocean advocate -with a national mark of excellence,  finalist in global ocean award, and sustainability ambassador for OECS, Island Innovation, and the Island of Montserrat means….. I have much value to add.

I support projects that promote safe and healthy places to live, work, and play for all people. I convene stakeholders to build healthier, more equitable, and more resilient communities and promote information sharing and collaborative problem solving among all entities that play a role in addressing the region's ocean equity challenges.

speaking & workshops

I do event talks and public speaking on topics that include diversity and equity, ocean justice, small-scale fisheries, self-care and resilience, and our blue economy. My work as an events speaker has taken me to academic institutions, global youth advocacy networks, local community groups, and more. It's also one of the ways I afford to be a single mom working in this field.
